XG-Boosting Model for the Detection of Algal Blooms using Satellite Data
  • Mentor: Prof. Abani Patra, Director, Center for Data Foundations in AI, Tufts University.
  • Designed a scalable Python pipeline integrating Sentinel-2A imagery with XGBoost, using NumPy and reducing MSC from 1.574 to 1.216 compared to NASA's benchmark for autonomous global algal bloom detection.
  • One of the youngest presenters at AGU Conference 2024 (DC), awarded British Crest Gold.
Real-time Machine Learning Detection of Water Pollution using CNNs
  • Mentor: Jason Jabbour, PhD, Harvard University, Edge Computing Lab.
  • Built a realtime water pollution detection system using CNNs and MLPs in Python to identify plastic and trash from live video feeds, optimized for sub-20ms inference for edge deployment.
  • Published in Young Scientist Journal (YSJ), Vanderbilt University, May 2024 Vol 14.
  • Only high school presenter at the World Ocean Science Congress 2024 at IIT Madras.
